Sawan K is a music producer, professional saxophonist, and composer that started to develop his unique production and performance style after a life changing decision to drop out of Mechanical Engineering school to pursue a thriving career in the music industry. Sawan operates a full-time recording studio in Mississauga (Karma Productions), where he produces various genres of music in both the Western and Eastern music traditions. He has produced numerous records with an array of genre bending artists specifically in RnB, Pop and Hip Hop music. This multi-instrumentalist has spent the last 6 years traveling all over North America to perform at concerts, shows and all types of musical events! He has consistently played saxophone, and other various instruments alongside many distinguished artists and performers at venues including the CN Tower, Yonge & Dundas Sq, Brampton Rose Theatre, Mississauga Celebration Square and London Victoria Park. Sawan is a leader in many industry roles including producing, composing, mixing & mastering and musical direction for live shows. In addition to commercial music, he is also a film composer with an honorable mention for Best Original Score at the Los Angeles Independent Film Award. A true believer in lifelong-learning, Sawan graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Music at York University specializing in composition studies. Having won various awards such as the Honours Award at the National Music Festival of Canada, he has made music his greatest life adventure. His main goal is to share the art of music and become the perfect archetype for South Asian musicians creating a successful and prosperous life in the arts.

With formal education in Music Composition, Sawan has lead the production of over 70+ musical works. “The Stu Pot”, owned and operated by Sawan, is a recording studio and music production facility located in Mississauga, Ontario. Numerous singles, E.Ps, albums and film scores have been recorded at this studio.

Performing
As a multi-instrumentalist, Sawan has played with numerous acclaimed artists and performers. In 2021, he started to take on the performance industry in a whole new way by carving out his own lane. Headlining major music festivals such as DesiFest and BMM in the GTA, Sawan creates a unique and immersive musical experience for all types of audiences. With 9 years of experience in playing the SATB saxophones, Sawan has also been training in jazz piano under the mentorship of Noam Lemish for the past two years. His skills in arranging and ability to be a leader has allowed him to be the Music Director of numerous performing artists in both the Western and Eastern music traditions.
